Who it is for:
The mentorship is designed for emerging artists, at the beginning of their careers and with 1–2 years or less in the art game. Perfect for someone just out of school, or just beginning to look at art as a career path needing additional support and direction for how to get started.
Our hope is through your time in our 3 week program you'll gain skills, confidence, and clarity in the business of art as you take on your own path moving forward. Our goal is to demystify some of these fundamental pieces of the art business so you can approach your work with confidence, and better resourced, moving forward.
A note from the mentors:
Hey there artist!
If you're new to the art game or have been working hard but still feel unsure where to focus and what to prioritize in order to truly move forward — you're not alone.
We've seen the same thing again and again: usually talent isn't the issue. The problem is usually a lack of clear structure and direction.
In this mentorship, we'll walk you through the three essential areas every successful artist must address, and how to approach them. We'll be taking you through what makes a strong portfolio and ways to network! We'll be covering multiple ways you can apply your artwork for different income streams — because in this economy you have to be creative and open-minded to make a living with art. We will also be chatting about solo shows, working with local gallery spaces, and how to put together and hang your own show.
This isn't a motivational talk. It's a roadmap designed to help you move forward with confidence, and demystify some of these important pillars of the Business of Art.
We can't wait to share it with you.
